Well-deserved article in Berkshire Living on Ventfort Hall

A very nice article by Christine Triantos for Berkshire Living about Ventfort Hall – it’s history, restoration and present activities. Many people know that this has been the labor of love of my mother, Tjasa Sprague for much of the past decade or more and I urge you to find out more, come visit this splendid place and join me in advocating for the continual recognition of the role that these epic properties are still playing in the landscape of the Berkshires and the regional economy. Without these gilded age mansions and their lavish grounds there would be no Canyon Ranch, no Cranwell, Blantyre, Wheatleigh, no Kripalu, no Tanglewood or The Mount. Our relative prosperity is very much tied to the history of the 1890’s and the expression of wealth that these properties embody. Their continued preservation, oversight and enjoyment benefit everyone in the region by providing the foundation of jobs, tourism, and environment that we all enjoy.
