As a business owner with limited amounts of time and lots of places to be, these apps can really come in handy for staying on top of all of your tasks. 1. Square

What it does: Square gives you the power of your cash register on the go. A small device that hooks into your phone allows you to easily swipe credit cards, sell your merchandise, or accept donations from anywhere.

What it does: Skype is most commonly used on the computer as a free video conferencing platform. Now you can add this platform to your phone and make voice and video calls to clients or employees.

3. Shoeboxed

What it does: Shoeboxed allows you to mail, scan, upload or email receipts, eReceipts & business cards for scanning and data extraction. You can even share this data with a variety of other accounts.

4. Expensify

What it does: This app allows you to link a credit card, log hours and track mileage, manage your spending, generate eReceipts, create reports instantly, and it all works with Quickbooks and Freshbooks.

5. Scanner Pro

What it does: Scanner Pro lets you scan multipage documents, email them and even upload to multiple platforms. It also uses Google Docs OCR to convert scans into editable text files on your Google Account.
